The Crime at Blossoms (1937)
Theatre reviewer for The Catholic Advocate, Nigel Bonsey, gives some sense of Barbara Sisley’s brilliance as a director in his review of her production of Mordaunt Sharp’s The Crime at Blossoms in 1937, the year she directed all eight plays:
I think it was one of the finest plays I have seen produced in Brisbane and I think it was one of the best productions I have seen of Miss Sisley’s. She more than surpassed some of her previous splendid work and very definitely she has added considerably to her already established reputation as a first class producer…(October 14, 1937)
