Back to the Cremorne written and directed by Graeme Johnston was a nostalgic retrospective of Brisbane’s old Cremorne Theatre, home of vaudeville from 1911 to 1954.
It did very well at the box office and, according to Council President Mac Hamilton in his President’ Report “gave La Boite a new audience, particularly among Brisbane’s elderly population … it clearly touched a nerve”.
