Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris
Although programmed as ‘high risk’, Shaun Charles’ play Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris directed by Sean Mee far exceeded expectations.
Its R rating attracted excellent media coverage and a young adult audience that filled the theatre to near capacity every night of its run. The play, “a vivid comment on our search for meaning in the latter half of the millennium”[i] was the 1997 co-winner of Queensland Theatre Company’s George Landen Dann Playwriting Award.
